Meet the Therapists

Corrie L. Kindyl, Ph.D.
LMHC, LMFT, NCC, ACS

Corrie L. Kindyl is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH #5580), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MT # 1957) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC # 53647) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (#01326). She is the owner of Community Counseling Center of Central Florida, LLC and has provided community-based counseling services to at-risk families in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia Counties in Florida since 1999. She is trained and experienced in doing individual and family therapy with adults and children. She holds the following qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Counseling Education with a Specialization in Marital, Couple, and Family Counseling/Therapy from Barry University, Orlando, FL.
  • She is a clinical member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) & the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) & the Association for Play Therapy (APT).
  • She is a Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida.
  • She is CAMS certified (The Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality).
  • She is the clinical director in partnership with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office of the joint Mobile Crisis Response team.

Rebecca Soto

Rebecca Soto is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (# 11973) with the State of Florida. She graduated from Troy University with her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology in December 2007. She is trained in our STEP Parenting Program (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) and our 1-2-3 Magic and Surviving Your Adolescents parent education programs. She is fluent in Spanish and English and is available to provide Parenting Classes, Anger Management Classes and Counseling in both languages. She has well over two decades of experience in the Child Welfare/Child Dependency system and in working with the Florida Department of Children and Families and related agencies both in Central Florida and in New York. Rebecca is employed with us full-time and has a flexible schedule seeing clients days, evenings, and weekends. She also completes Comprehensive Behavior Health Assessments (CBHAs) for CCCCF. She is MATCH certified and is completing her TF-CBT certification process. She is CAMS certified (The Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality). She is a clinical member of our Mobile Crisis Response team. She is a Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida.

Shannon Sweeney

Shannon Sweeney, LMFT, RPT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#MT1935) and a Registered Play Therapist (#T755). She has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Stetson University, which she received in 1999. She is experienced in individual and family therapy with adults and children. She has worked with survivors of domestic violence for over a decade. Shannon is not currently accepting any new clients.

Shannon Greathouse

Shannon Greathouse has been working at CCCCF for over a decade, providing internal administrative support to staff, agency record management, and attending to the Company’s day to day office needs.  Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Business degree and a Masters of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. She is employed with CCCCF full-time.

Robyn Prebenda

Robyn is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH#8065). She earned her Master of Education degree in Community Counseling from Georgia Southern University in 2000. Robyn is trained and experienced in doing individual, group, and family therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. She is a certified Rational Emotive Behavior Therapist. Robyn is a Qualified Supervisor providing supervision to therapists employed by CCCCF. Robyn is employed with us part-time and is available to meet with clients days and evenings.

Heather Dawson

Heather Dawson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC #12552) with the State of Florida. She earned her Master’s degree from The University of Central Florida, with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, also from The University of Central Florida. Her goal is to work with individuals and families in need within the community with a focus on parenting.  She has experience working on teaching parenting skills to parents in the home, experience as a dependency case manager, working with victims of abuse and working with individuals with substance abuse issues.  She is available weekdays. She is CAMS certified (The Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality). She is a clinical member of our Mobile Crisis Response team. She is a Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida.

Erin Howell

Erin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has over twenty years of experience working with children and families. She has extensive experience working with families involved with the Department of Children and Families.  She is trained and experienced in doing individual, group and family therapy with adults and children. She is also trained in doing Anger Management, Parent Education, and Assessments. She holds these qualifications:

  • She has a Doctorate degree in Counseling with a Specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • She is a Qualified Supervisor with the State of Florida.

Gabrielle Layton

Gabrielle Layton is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the State of Florida. She graduated with her Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida in August 2015. She also completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in May 2012. Gabrielle has experience in working with adolescents and young adults with a myriad of concerns to include; trauma, substance use, addiction, self-esteem, family reunification, anger management, and motivational concerns. Gabrielle is trained in Psychodynamic, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, and Client-centered theories. She frequently uses Expressive Arts and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She is qualified to provide individual, group, and family counseling. She is employed with us full-time and is available to meet with clients Monday to Saturday during daytime or evening hours. She is MATCH certified and is completing her TF-CBT certification process. She is a clinical member of our Mobile Crisis Response team. She is a Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida.

Chanllyca Chau

Chanllyca Chau is a Master’s Level Marriage and Family Therapy Student Intern. She is currently a student at Capella University. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of  Central Florida, with a minor in Early Childhood Development and Education in May 2017. Chanllyca comes with professional experience working with adolescents and adults in a residential facility setting. Her preferred therapy modality is Solution Focused/Narrative Therapy with frequent usage of Positive Psychology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Chanllyca’s goal as a therapist is to validate client experience and support our clients as they discover their strengths through their therapeutic journey. She is employed with us full time.

Crystal Banks

Crystal Banks is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern #24101. She earned a master of science degree in professional counseling with an emphasis in childhood and adolescent disorders from Grand Canyon University May of 2023. Crystal has experience working with children and teens in a wide variety of settings including the child welfare system as a case manager, community agency as a group facilitator of social skills, and as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) providing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis. She is passionate about making a difference in each of the countless lives she will have an opportunity to touch. Crystal  prefers to utilize therapeutic approaches including but not limited to  cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and integrative therapy. She is available to meet with clients and has a flexible schedule.

Kayla Crawford, LMHC and Sara Belvins, LCSW are employed with us as clinical team members of our Mobile Crisis Response team.
