Meet the Therapists

Corrie L. Kindyl, Ph.D.
LMHC, LMFT, NCC, ACS

Corrie L. Kindyl is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH #5580), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MT # 1957) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC # 53647) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (#01326). She has 24 years post-master’s experience. She is the owner of Community Counseling Center of Central Florida, LLC and has provided community-based counseling services to at-risk families in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia Counties in Florida since 1999. She is trained and experienced in doing individual and family therapy with adults and children. She holds the following qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Counseling Education with a Specialization in Marital, Couple, and Family Counseling/Therapy from Barry University, Orlando, FL.
  • She is a clinical member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) & the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) & the Association for Play Therapy (APT).
  • She is a Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida.

Rebecca Soto

Rebecca Soto is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (# 11973) with the State of Florida. She graduated from Troy University with her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology in December 2007. She is trained in our STEP Parenting Program (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) and our 1-2-3 Magic and Surviving Your Adolescents parent education programs. She is fluent in Spanish and English and is available to provide Parenting Classes, Anger Management Classes and Counseling in both languages. She has nearly two decades of experience in the Child Welfare/Child Dependency system and in working with the Florida Department of Children and Families and related agencies both in Central Florida and in New York. Rebecca is employed with us full-time and has a flexible schedule seeing clients days, evenings, and weekends. She also completes Comprehensive Behavior Health Assessments (CBHAs) for CCCCF.

Shannon Sweeney

Shannon Sweeney, LMFT, RPT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#MT1935) and a Registered Play Therapist (#T755). She has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Stetson University, which she received in 1999. She is experienced in individual and family therapy with adults and children. She has worked with survivors of domestic violence for over a decade. Shannon is able to meet with clients weekdays.

Shannon Greathouse

Shannon Greathouse brings 15 years of experience to CCCCF, LLC. Shannon provides internal administrative support, records management and attends to the Company’s day-to-day office needs. Shannon is proficient in all versions of Windows, Microsoft Office, Accounting programs and databases. Prior to joining to CCCCF in September of 2008, Shannon worked for a wireless telecommunications/ technical recruiting company from 1993 to 2008, where she was an Administrator/ Office Manager. She handled all office functions including human resources, employee benefits, business planning, financial projections/reporting as well as serving as the executive liaison for the owner of the company. Some of her responsibilities included managing the customer service department, implementing the internal communications structure for the customer service and technical departments as well as account executive for all high level business accounts for both Technical Recruiting and Wireless Internet Division. Prior to the Wireless telecommunications division, Shannon managed all the development and event planning for the company’s Security Expos in Charlotte, NC. The company dabbled in other ventures and Shannon became an integral part in all of new business development. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Business degree and a Masters of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. She is employed with CCCCF full-time.

Robyn Prebenda

Robyn is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH#8065). She earned her Master of Education degree in Community Counseling from Georgia Southern University in 2000. Robyn is trained and experienced in doing individual, group, and family therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. She is a certified Rational Emotive Behavior Therapist. Robyn is a Qualified Supervisor providing supervision to therapists employed by CCCCF. Robyn is employed with us part-time and is available to meet with clients days and evenings.

Heather Dawson

Heather Dawson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC #12552) with the State of Florida. She earned her Master’s degree from The University of Central Florida, with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, also from The University of Central Florida. Her goal is to work with individuals and families in need within the community with a focus on parenting.  She has experience working on teaching parenting skills to parents in the home, experience as a dependency case manager, working with victims of abuse and working with individuals with substance abuse issues.  She is available weekdays.

Erin Howell

Erin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has twelve years of experience working with children and families. She has extensive experience working with families involved with the Department of Children and Families.  She is trained and experienced in doing individual, group and family therapy with adults and children. She is also trained in doing Anger Management, Parent Education, and Assessments. She holds these qualifications:
  • She has a Doctorate degree in Counseling with a Specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • She is a Qualified Supervisor with the State of Florida.
  • She is certified to complete Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessments.

Gloria Alvarez

Gloria Alvarez is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (IMH #14103) with the State of Florida. She comes with professional experience in crisis and domestic violence counseling and trauma. She is trained and experienced in doing individual, group and family therapy with adults and children. She holds these qualifications:

  • She has a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
  • She has been trained and is competent to serve a variety of populations to include at risk youth and their families, victims of domestic violence and childhood abuse and trauma with adults and children.

Gabrielle Swartz

Gabrielle Swartz is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the State of Florida. She graduated with her Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida in August 2015. She also completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in May 2012. Gabrielle has experience in working with adolescents and young adults with a myriad of concerns to include; trauma, substance use, addiction, self-esteem, family reunification, anger management, and motivational concerns. Gabrielle is trained in Psychodynamic, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, and Client-centered theories. She frequently uses Expressive Arts and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Trauma Focused CBT. She is qualified to provide individual, group, and family counseling. She is employed with us full-time and is available to meet with clients Monday to Saturday during daytime or evening hours.

Jennifer Perez

Jennifer Perez, M.S. is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern  (IMH #17616) with the State of Florida. Jennifer received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Psychology at Troy University in 2018. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at University of North Florida in 2014. Jennifer has been employed with CCCCF since 2016 and has experience in individual, couples, family, and group therapy with adults and youth. Jennifer has also been trained in Parenting and Anger Management classes. Jennifer is fluent in English and Spanish, she is available to meet with clients Monday -Friday daytime and evening hours and some daytime weekend hours.

Kayla Crawford

Kayla Crawford (LMHC # 16890) received her Master’s Degree from Troy University. Kayla comes with professional experience in trauma informed care and strength based principals. She has an interest of working with children, youth and adults who have experienced trauma. Kayla works with us full-time and is available Monday-Friday during morning and evening hours.

Amy Wagner

Amy Wagner is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (#IMH16306) and Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern #IMT2773 with the State of Florida.  She comes with professional experience in trauma therapy, crisis counseling and relationship enhancement.   She has a particular interest in working with child, adolescents and adults with a trauma history and dissociative conditions through use of EMDR, Expressive Arts, Play Therapy and Sand Tray therapy. She is trained and experienced in doing individual, group and family therapy. She holds these qualifications:

  • A Master in Art’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College, Winter Park FL.
  • Certificate Program in Relationship Therapy from Rollins College, Winter Park, FL.
  • EMDR Basic Training.

Audrey Spataro

Audrey is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (IMH #18582) with the State of Florida. Audrey received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Hodges University. She has professional experience from working in the school system, the Department of Children and Families (DCF), a Case Management Organization in South Florida and in the community.  She is experienced in the courtroom, group therapy and working as a child welfare case manager. Audrey holds significant experience working with the youth population. She also teaches self-defense in shelters and local schools. She is available to see clients mornings, day time hours, and evenings and is employed with CCCCF full-time.

Allanah Roberts 

Allanah Roberts is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (IMH # 17582) with the State of Florida.  She comes with professional experience in crisis management, substance abuse, child welfare, and case management services. She is trained and experienced in doing individual, group,  and family therapy with adults and children. She started her Doctoral program at National Louis University in Counseling Education and Supervision in September 2018. She holds these qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University; Orlando, Florida.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Minor in Education from The University of Florida: Gainesville, FL
  • Certification in Child Welfare Case Management Services by the Department of Children and Families

Christel McMackin

Christel McMackin is Registered Marriage/Couples & Family Therapist/Counselor Intern (IMT#3167). She received her Master’s in Science in Marriage/Couples & Family Therapy/Counseling from Capella University with distinction and is a member of the AAMFT. Her areas of training have been in trauma, anger management instruction, parenting education and substance abuse. Her treatment modalities include Narrative and Solution Focused therapy methods respectfully identifying the values and skills of the clients. She believes her role is to offer support and guidance to our clients on their journey. She is employed with us full-time.

David Finucane

David Finucane is a Master’s level student completing his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Troy University. He expects to graduate in May 2020. He brings a range of experience to this agency.  He currently supervises the Keys to Independence Program at Community Based Care of Central Florida.  David spent 15 years at the global brokerage clearing firm Pershing, LLC in roles including Internal Audit and department supervision.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rollins College and is contracted with us part-time.
