Meet the Therapists
Corrie L. Kindyl, Ph.D.
LMHC, LMFT, NCC, ACS
Corrie L. Kindyl is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH #5580), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MT # 1957) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC # 53647). She has 19 years post-master’s experience. She is the owner of Community Counseling Center of Central Florida, LLC and has provided community-based counseling services to at-risk families in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia Counties in Florida since 1999. She is trained and experienced in doing individual and family therapy with adults and children. She holds the following qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Counseling Education with a Specialization in Marital, Couple, and Family Counseling/Therapy from Barry University, Orlando, FL.
- Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) # 1236 through the Center for Credentialing & Education (NBCC).
- She is a clinical member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) & the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
- She is a Certified STEP (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) Parenting Course Facilitator.
- She is a Qualified Supervisor for the State of Florida.
- She is a Certified Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessor (CBHA).
Rebecca Soto is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (# 11973) with the State of Florida. She graduated from Troy University with her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology in December 2007. She is trained in our STEP Parenting Program (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) and our 1-2-3 Magic and Surviving Your Adolescents parent education programs. She is fluent in Spanish and English and is available to provide Parenting Classes, Anger Management Classes and Counseling in both languages. She has nearly two decades of experience in the Child Welfare/Child Dependency system and in working with the Florida Department of Children and Families and related agencies both in Central Florida and in New York. Rebecca is employed with us full-time and has a flexible schedule seeing clients days, evenings, and weekends. She also completes Comprehensive Behavior Health Assessments (CBHAs) for CCCCF.
Shannon Sweeney, LMFT, RPT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#MT1935) and a Registered Play Therapist (#T755). She has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Stetson University, which she received in 1999. She is experienced in individual and family therapy with adults and children. She has worked with survivors of domestic violence for over a decade. Shannon is able to meet with clients days and evenings.
Shannon Greathouse brings 15 years of experience to CCCCF, LLC. Shannon provides internal administrative support, records management and attends to the Company’s day-to-day office needs. Shannon is proficient in all versions of Windows, Microsoft Office, Accounting programs and databases. Prior to joining to CCCCF in September of 2008, Shannon worked for a wireless telecommunications/ technical recruiting company from 1993 to 2008, where she was an Administrator/ Office Manager. She handled all office functions including human resources, employee benefits, business planning, financial projections/reporting as well as serving as the executive liaison for the owner of the company. Some of her responsibilities included managing the customer service department, implementing the internal communications structure for the customer service and technical departments as well as account executive for all high level business accounts for both Technical Recruiting and Wireless Internet Division. Prior to the Wireless telecommunications division, Shannon managed all the development and event planning for the company’s Security Expos in Charlotte, NC. The company dabbled in other ventures and Shannon became an integral part in all of new business development. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Business degree and a Masters of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. She is employed with CCCCF full-time.
Robyn is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH#8065). She earned her Master of Education degree in Community Counseling from Georgia Southern University in 2000. Robyn is trained and experienced in doing individual, group, and family therapy with children, adolescents, and adults. She is a certified Rational Emotive Behavior Therapist and is a member of the American Counseling Association. Robyn is a Qualified Supervisor providing supervision to therapists employed by CCCCF. Robyn is employed with us part-time and is available to meet with clients days and evenings.
Heather Dawson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC #12552) with the State of Florida. She earned her Master’s degree from The University of Central Florida, with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, also from The University of Central Florida. Her goal is to work with individuals and families in need within the community with a focus on parenting. She has experience working on teaching parenting skills to parents in the home, experience as a dependency case manager, working with victims of abuse and working with individuals with substance abuse issues. She is available weekdays.
Jessica E. Frost is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC #13817) and holds a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Argosy University. She has been working with CCCCF since August 2012 and her undergraduate experience includes working with people who have developmental disabilities, substance abuse, and post-incarceration rehabilitation and counseling. She is committed to social justice and is Psychodynamic and emotion-focused in her approach to counseling. She also has a strong interest in the Expressive Therapies and is working towards certification in Psychodrama (an experiential modality that incorporates the body as well as the mind). She works with adults and children, and provides individual, couple, and family therapy as well as Mental Health Assessments, and one-on-one Parenting and Anger Management classes. She is available Tuesday – Saturday and works full-time.
- She has a Doctorate degree in Counseling with a Specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy.
- She is a Qualified Supervisor with the State of Florida.
- She is certified to complete Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessments.
- Master’s degree in Counseling & Psychology from Troy University, Clinical Mental Health Counseling track; Orlando, Florida.
- Completed training in Domestic Violence, given by Harbor House-Aspire Health Partners. The training provided her with recognizing the various types of domestic abuse and how to best assist the survivor experiencing a crisis.
Gloria Alvarez is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (IMH #14103) with the State of Florida. She comes with professional experience in crisis and domestic violence counseling and trauma. She is trained and experienced in doing individual, group and family therapy with adults and children. She holds these qualifications:
- She has a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- She has been trained and is competent to serve a variety of populations to include at risk youth and their families, victims of domestic violence and childhood abuse and trauma with adults and children.
Gabrielle Swartz is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (IMH #14266) with the State of Florida and is collecting hours toward her full License as a Mental Health Counselor. She graduated with her Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida in August 2015. She also completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in May 2012. Gabrielle has experience in working with adolescents and young adults with a myriad of concerns to include; trauma, substance use, addiction, self-esteem, family reunification, anger management, and motivational concerns. Gabrielle is trained in Psychodynamic, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, and Client-centered theories. She frequently uses Expressive Arts and Movement based interventions. She is qualified to provide individual, group, and family counseling. She is employed with us part-time and is available to meet with clients Friday – Monday during daytime or evening hours.
Cindy Dietrich is a Master’s Level Student Intern. She comes with professional experience in education and mental health counseling. She has experience working with children with behavioral problems and learning disabilities. She is trained and experienced in doing individual, family and group therapy with adults and children. She also has a strong interest in Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) and is working towards her Play Therapy (PT) certificate to deepen the therapeutic connection with children. Cindy is employed with us full-time and has a flexible schedule seeing clients days, evenings, and weekends. She holds these qualifications:
- Anticipated completion of her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in late 2016
- Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida
- Pursuing certification in Play Therapy (PT)

Jennifer Perez is our Office Assistant. She is a 2nd year Master’s level student completing her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Troy University. She brings an assortment of experience to CCCCF. She has worked in a variety of settings with the most recent being a Family Advocate at Head Start, Nursing Assistant at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville. Jennifer has also held a position as a Member and Provider Service Representative at Keystone Mercy Health Insurance. She she is fluent in Spanish and English. She holds Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of North Florida and is employed with us part-time.
Kayla Crawford, M.S. is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (IMH #15581). Kayla received her Master’s in Counseling from Troy University. Kayla comes with professional experience in trauma informed care and strength based counseling. Kayla is trained and experienced in doing individual and group therapy with children, youth and adults. She holds a Facilitator Training certificate in Wellness Recovery Action Planning; given by the Copeland Center for Wellness and Recovery. Kayla is available Monday-Friday, during the daytime and evening hours.
Melissa Cotton is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (IMT#2737) with the State of Florida. She is currently working toward full licensure and graduated with her Master of Arts degree from Liberty University in May of 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies with two minors in psychology and criminal justice from the University of Central Florida. She has a passion to work with youth, families and couples especially within the justice system to find a positive route to situations within their lives. Melissa has a flexible schedule being able to meet with clients most evenings during the week and on Saturdays. She is employed with us part-time.
Amy Wagner is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern #IMH16306 and Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern #IMT2773 with the State of Florida. She comes with professional experience in trauma therapy, crisis counseling and relationship enhancement. She has a particular interest in working with child, adolescents and adults with a trauma history and dissociative conditions through use of EMDR, Expressive Arts, Play Therapy and Sand Tray therapy. She is trained and experienced in doing individual, group and family therapy. She holds these qualifications:
- A Master in Art’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College, Winter Park FL.
- Certificate Program in Relationship Therapy from Rollins College, Winter Park, FL.
- EMDR Basic Training.
- Sand Tray Therapy.
Larry Warren is a 2nd year Master’s level student completing his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Troy University. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Central Florida. Larry has worked in a variety of settings with the most recent being a Lead Direct Care Provider at The Devereux Foundation of Florida for almost 10 years. He has worked with children and adolescents with mental health disorders teaching them appropriate social skills and how to utilize coping skills during crisis. Larry has also volunteered as the Lead Youth Minister at his local church, mentoring children and teenagers teaching social skills, homework tutoring, money management and offering spiritual guidance. Larry is currently the Lead Young Adult Minister, working with families in the church and community to get resources they need. He is with us full-time as a Master’s Level Student Intern.
Jo Camp is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (IMH #16073) with the State of Florida and is working towards her LMHC. She earned her Master’s degree from The University of Oklahoma in Human Relations. Additionally, she has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from St. Gregory’s University. Jo has experience doing individual, couples, and family therapy, and group therapy with women and adolescents in community mental health settings. She is with us full-time to see clients and has a flexible schedule.
Sudonna is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (IMH #16709) with the State of Florida and is working towards her LMHC. She earned her Master of Arts degree from Troy University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology from Florida State University with a minor in Psychology. She has twelve years of experience working with families involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF). Sudonna has experience doing individual, couples, and family therapy with children and families. She is employed with us part time and able to meet clients evenings during the week and on Saturdays.
